The Birth of Buffettmas

Published by

Buffettmas TreeOn December 25th, many everlasting moons ago, the purveyor of the island escapism lifestyle was born. Because this birth coincides with a very popular holiday, Christmas, many people have adopted the ritual of having a decorated palm tree in their home or beach house.

Sometimes the palm tree replaces the traditional Christmas tree, other times it is an additional tree decorated along with the traditional tree. There are those who have gone to the extreme and leave the palm tree decorated and lighted all year long.

The celebrators of Buffettmas are often called Parrot Heads or Phlockers. The most fervent have been referred to as Landsharks. But really anyone that enjoys an occasional Boat Drink enjoys this holiday tradition.

Whether you enjoy an occasional trip to Margaritaville for a Cheeseburger, or you went to Key West on vacation and never left, either way you will enjoy the celebrating of Buffettmas every day.
